The Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that the Emergency Committee of WHO has confirmed that the novel covid-19 pandemic, is still a worldwide health case of emergency of great concern. The statement was made following the committee's meeting here, on Tuesday. Dr. Ghebreyesus reiterated trust in WHO to continue leading and coordinating the response to the epidemic, pointing that WHO will keep providing all countries with technical as well as logistical back up, especially the most needy countries, pointing out that WHO will continue to invite the countries to carry out a comprehensive package of measurements till detecting each case, test it, isolate it, treat it and track down those in contact with the affected. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has taken part, in the meeting of the WHO committee of emergency, as it was represented by Dr. Ziyad Mamish, the Senior Consultant of Infectious Diseases, at the Ministry of Health, who is also the Director of King Saud Medical City.
