Muslim World League (MWL) has launched a number of initiatives covering 15 states and international organizations aiming to mitigate the effects of coronavirus COVID-19 epidemic as part of a prompt response that meets measures imposed by the United Nations and the WHO as well as governments of the beneficiary countries. MWL's official spokesman Abdulwahab Al-Shihry, who is also director of information and communication department, said his organization is embarked on a comprehensive plan to alleviate the impacts of COVID-19 on the epidemic-hit countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. He said MWL's offices around the world were instructed to get embarked on phase I which includes providing the beneficiaries with direct financial subsidies, medical equipment, preventive and precautionary aid, food supplies and illumination culture, to enhance its efforts to reduce the hits of the disease.
