King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat) have launched a partnership program, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to train talented male and female students from (Mawhiba) on entrepreneurship skills to enable them in the future to convert their research and scientific projects into entrepreneurial projects that add value to the national economy. The program also provides consultation to students from the start of their ideas to launching the project as a product to the market. This partnership targets 150 students from (Mawhiba) who participated in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibda'a 2020), where they will be a part of a training program for 4 days consisting of a number of programs and lectures, including training to transform ideas into intellectual property provided by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, training on converting intellectual property into a commercial project provided by Baseqat Consulting Company, and two training programs provided by (Monshaat) to launch the commercial project into market, in addition to services to be provided by (Monshaat) after the launch of the project. After the end of the program, (Monshaat) will choose 20 of the participating projects, which it sees to have potential to be launched on the market, provide advisory services to them, and assist their owners in marketing their ideas and projects.
