The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus said today that his organization is closely working with research centers and scientists around the world to accelerate reaching a vaccine on COVID-19. In a press release, he said that his organization is committed to fair distribution of the vaccine, once reached, over all countries of the world, calling on scientists and researchers to share the findings of their work with their counterparts to speed up reaching the vaccine. He added that WHO will apply a unified protocol for experimental trails of the awaited vaccine throughout the world and not in a particular area. He urged people to use gloves and face covers for the time being to help contribute to reduce the impact of the severe short of masks which, he said, should go first to health teams available at the front lines confronting the epidemic.
