Russia welcomes Saudi call to convene anti-terrorism int'l conference

Russia today welcomed Saudi Arabia's initiative to convene an international conference to fight terrorism, scheduled for Riyadh in February 2005.
This came during a meeting between the Saudi Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Abdulwali with Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov in Moscow.
In a statement carried by Itar-tass news agency, the Russian senior diplomat said terrorism is an international phenomenon that threatens the security and stability of the entire world of today.
Fight against it should be orchestrated by the whole world, he added.
