The Military attache of the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington and Ottawa, Major General Fawaz bin Muhammad Al-Fawaz, congratulated Saudi women on joining the military work in the Saudi Armed Forces, which came under the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Major General Al-Fawaz said in a speech on the occasion of the International Women's Month, which falls in March of each year: The Kingdom has made very advanced steps, which are a qualitative leap in terms of empowering women and enhancing their participation in the development process that the Kingdom is witnessing, in line with Vision 2030, which is the activation of the role and participation of women is one of its main pillars and goals. The military attache indicated that, in keeping with this, and in belief in the competence and capabilities of Saudi women, and the added value that they represent, the armed forces recently opened the military women's section to attract qualified women cadres for military work in the various branches of the armed forces.
