In Najran, Region's Mayor, Engineer Hamad bin Hussein Aiban, told (SPA) that the region's municipalities are continuing their daily preventive works by sterilizing and disinfecting roads, streets, and neighborhoods of the region in line with the directives of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to abide by preventive measures to enhance public health, control and limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), by preparing a daily work plan for cleaning and sterilization works through which the city of Najran is divided into four field teams to implement sterilization and disinfection works with the participation of more than 35 vehicles dedicated to cleaning, washing, and sterilization, in addition to 40 devices on shoulders for sterilization and disinfection. He pointed out that sterilization and disinfection of streets in the region are accompanied by works to sterilize parks, green spaces, trees, waste containers and public facilities in a way that enhances public health and limits the spread of epidemics, calling on everyone to adhere to the curfew, stay at home and not to go out except for the necessity. In Hail, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in cooperation with the Municipality of the region, continued sterilizing workshops in Hail, as part of the precautionary and important measures it undertakes to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Director General of the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the region, Freeh Al-Ayyad, stressed the importance of works and adherence to the regulations related to the areas of public health standards, emphasizing sterilization and disinfection of residential locations, their facilities, methods of dealing with diseases and epidemics and limiting their spread to preserve health and provide the utmost protection to citizens and residents. In Taif, Engineering Affairs Department at the Ministry of Health has embarked on a comprehensive plan to sterilize health centers and hospitals to prevent coronavirus, as part of efforts to contribute to comprehensive cleansing operations. The assistant director of health affairs for engineering affairs department Eng. Majid AlHarthy, explained that the department prepared a plan for prevention and cleansing in various health facilities, pointing out that work teams under the supervision of specialists are carrying out the work according to the plan and that comes under the direct guidance of the Director of Health Affairs Saeed bin Jaber Al-Qahtani, explaining that it started with health centers that operate around the clock, and then hospitals, with the completion of the rest of the health centers and facilities, according to the plan. In Jizan, the region's municipalities recruited more than 5500 cleaners and 1124 vehicles to implement daily operations to sterilize and disinfect cities, neighborhoods, and streets of the region, within the work carried out by the secretariat and various authorities in the region to implement preventive to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Mayor of the Jazan region, Naif bin Manahi bin Saeed, explained that the region's secretariat and its municipalities in the region are intensifying their works by implementing a preventive action plan that includes sterilization and disinfection of roads, streets, and neighborhoods of the region. This is in addition to preventing labor gatherings in public facilities and sterilizing and disinfecting waste containers to preserve public health and reducing the spread of epidemics, and applying the instructions of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs to implement precautionary plans to reduce gatherings and intensify cleaning and sterilization and work with all activities related to the public health. In Dammam, the Eastern Municipality has intensified its efforts in cleaning and sterilizing streets and vital sites in the cities of Tarot, Anak and Al-Awamiya in the Qatif Governorate, in addition to continuing the intensive campaign to disinfect, sterilize and clean streets and sidewalks for roads, streets, shops and public places in the various cities and villages of the region, in continuation of the efforts made to complete preventive measures that it has taken to limit the spread of the novel Coronavirus, as part of the municipal sector initiative and to complete its precautionary measures and protect citizens and residents. The Municipalities has also prepared for this purpose a number of trained and qualified cadres and equipment that are appropriate for sterilization process and washing and spraying the streets, benefiting from the time of the curfew to carry out the process of disinfection and sterilization with high-quality materials, in cooperation with various parties.
