An official source of the Ministry of Interior has called on all citizens and residents to follow instructions regarding the curfew order to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus for 21 days, starting from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., on Monday. The source pointed out that whoever violates the curfew will be punished with the following: Whoever violates the provisions of the curfew shall be punished with a fine of 10,000 riyals, and the fine shall be doubled in the event of recurrence. If the violator returns to committing the violation after that, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding 20 days, according to a decision from Minister of Interior, and the prison sentence referred to shall be a punishment for every violator who does not comply with the authorities responsible for implementing the curfew, and this does not apply to cases of extreme necessity - including urgent health cases - as determined by the competent authority. The source emphasized that maintaining public health is one of the most important duties for citizens and residents in this country and they must perform their duty to stay at their homes and not to expose themselves and their country to the risk of spreading this pandemic.
