Senior Scholars Council: Adhering to the Competent Authorities' Instructions to Confronting Corona Pandemic is a Duty of Faith and Adult Violators Are Sinners

The Secretariat General of the Senior Scholars Council affirmed the utmost importance of adhering to instructions issued by the competent authorities to confront Coronavirus pandemic and prevent its spread.
In a statement issued today, the council stressed that "adhering to these instructions is a duty of faith and the adult violators of these instructions are sinners, with belief in God's words: (O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.)"
The council disclosed that abiding by the instructions, the public and private interests are achieved as well as the public and private corruption will be driven off, indicating that whenever committing to these instructions, this represents safeguarding the souls from being destroyed and the money from being wasted. It affirmed that the Sharia (Islamic law) is based on collecting and supplementing interests and disrupting and reducing corruption.
