The Secretariat General of the Senior Scholars (Ulema) Commission today expressed in the strongest words its condemnation of the two explosions which took place at Tanta Mar Gerges church and Alexandria St Mark's church, killing and injuring dozens. In a statement, the Secretariat General of the Senior Ulema Commission confirmed that the two terrorist explosions are criminal works legally and religiously tabooed upon the consensus of all Muslims as they violate the well-known forbidden acts according to Islamic Sharia, including the breach of innocent and naturally-safeguarded souls, legally-owned money, security, stability and lives of people, their homes and their worshipping places. In addition to that, this act also breached other taboos as its includes some betrayal, treason, attack, aggression, heinous guilt and terrifying of innocents, all considered unacceptable ugly acts, which the prophet (pbuh) was rejecting. The Secretariat also said that as human blood and terrifying of the innocents were among the unlawful acts, all Muslim Ulemas have unanimously agreed, all or individually, that such acts and behaviors are prohibited. They refused the accusations of terrorists and their followers, showing the fallacy of the logic that accepts such behaviors and acts which target terrifying the innocents, breaching the commitments, disobeying the rulers, and seeking to spread corruption on earth. What a great sin to dare to breach the sacred principles prescribed by Allah Almighty and grieve his servants since killing a soul without any right is a dire fault, the statement said, citing the holy Quran as saying "Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause", and that Prophet Mohammed has also said that among the grave offenses is believing in polytheism and killing an innocent soul. The statement pointed that terrorism and corruption on earth are evils necessitating cooperation to root them out and eradicate them as many countries and societies have suffered from their repercussions in different degrees, topped by the Islamic countries, noting that terrorism is not identified by home or race or religion or sect or time or place and that the feelings of all people are together rejecting it and denying its doers. The Secretariat said Muslims are standing with the whole world in denouncing and condemning it . In this regard, sincere international cooperation is needed to dry up its sources and fight its actors and their followers. The Ulemas confirm that the world is now offered a real chance to establish an international order based on justice, transparency and respect of people and their privacies. Making this clear, the Secretariat General of the Senior Ulema Commission would like to announce that Islam is categorically innocent from such acts and has no relation with its doers as this behavior comes out from followers of deviated thought and belief and they are to be held responsible. Islam and also the Muslims who follow true Islam based on the holy book of Quran and the Sunnah, the sayings and deeds of the Prophet should not be held accountable of their deeds. Based on this, the Secretariat General of Senior Ulema Commission confirm standing with its brothers in Egypt's government and people, noting that the security, stability, firmness and strength of the Islamic and Arab nations in general and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular are integral part of the security, stability, cohesion and strength of Egypt, the statement said. The Secretariat General lauded the continual and permanent contacts and cooperation between the two leaderships of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, appealing to Allah Almighty to help the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and all Muslim rulers to achieve what could produce the best interests of their countries and peoples, root-out corrupts and corruption and allow them achieve victory for His religion and make it the upper hand and turn to virtuous the situations of Arab and Islamic worlds.
