The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced, in a statement, here today the first recovery among the infected with the novel Coronavirus in the Kingdom. The case was of a citizen under the medical isolation, in Qatif Central Hospital, the Eastern Region, whose all medical examinations and procedures related to his case have been completed and he has recovered, according to the ministry's statement. Furthermore, a laboratory examination has proven that the citizen is free of the virus, indicating that he is currently in good health. Meanwhile, the ad hoc committee in charge of following up the developments of the health situation as regards Coronavirus, held here today its 21st meeting, headed by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabeeah, Minister of Health, and representatives of a number of related government agencies. The committee reviewed the epidemic situation of the virus at the global level, as well as the domestic cases registered in the Kingdom, being reassured of the measures in effect to combat the spread of the disease. Following the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdul-Aali, Spokesman of the Ministry of Health, denied reports that some 600 cases were confirmed to have contracted coronavirus, urging the public to keep contact with the Health Center "937" to get informed of the correct information on the situation. The Health Ministry reaffirmed to everyone the importance of disclosing the countries he/she visited before coming to the Kingdom.
