The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh praised the decision to temporarily suspend Umrah for citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom. He said that the decision comes as an extension of the continuous efforts being exerted by the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to protect the two holy mosques' visitors; citizens and expatriates according to the purposes of Sharia law, which confirmed that self-preservation is designed to achieve the interests of human societies and protect them from any harm. He added, in a press statement, that the decision to temporarily suspend Umrah for those inside the Kingdom comes as a confirmation of the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince to support the efforts of countries and international organizations, especially the World Health Organization to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
