Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit appreciated the precautionary measure and the proactive step taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to suspend entry to the Kingdom for the purposes of Umrah and visit the Prophet's Mosque in order to counter the spread of the novel coronavirus. In a statement today, Aboul Gheit said that the action taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will contribute to limiting the spread of the virus, pointing out that these preventive measures aims to limit the spread of it in order to preserve the health and lives of Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, especially that crowded places which are more vulnerable to the spread of this virus according to the World Health Organization reports.
