Three killed in fresh floods in India

Torrential rains over the weekend
have triggered fresh flooding in eastern India, stranding
hundreds of thousands of people and killing at least three
villagers, officials said Tuesday.
Some 180,000 people have been forced out of their homes by
the flooding in the low-lying districts of Murshidabad and
North 24 Pargana district in West Bengal state, said Hafiz
Alam Sairani, the state's relief minister.
