U.N. refugee agency announces millionth refugee return to Bosnia

Herzegovina, Sept 21, SPA -- The United Nations refugee agency announced Tuesday the symbolic return of the millionth refugee
to Bosnia.
"This constitutes a most significant milestone in the
long process of rebuilding a nation shattered during the
1992-95 war," said Udo Janz, the U.N. High Commissioner
for Refugees' representative in Bosnia.
Of the 2.2 million people displaced by the fighting during
the Bosnian war, 1 million have returned to their prewar
homes, Janz said.
