Pakistan Monday hoped that President General Pervez Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, during their meeting in New York, would focus on Kashmir, review status of the composite dialogue and discuss how to add substance to the process of negotiations. "The confidence building measures (CBMs) between Pakistan and India are on the right track but the progress on the key issue of Kashmir is sluggish"," Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman Masood Khan told his weekly news briefing. He emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of progress on the core issue and hoped that the two leaders meeting on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session would give directions to their negotiators for further progress.
