Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the historical meeting between the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud and former US President Franklin Roosevelt on February 14, 1945 aboard the USS Quincy was the first step of establishing Saudi-US relations. The paper added the Saudi-US relations have remained firm over the past 75 years and witnessed steady and diversified growth, which is positively reflected on the region and the world. The paper also said that after 75 years since establishing these relations, it has become certain that these relations will be an essential element of political and economic security and stability in the world.
