Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al and the General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Ambassador Jaber and the Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Maliki met today with UK Minister for the Middle East and North Africa and Minister of International Development Affairs Dr. Andrew Morrison, and a number of British Parliament deputies in the British capital, London, as part of the program's promotional mission on Saudi development efforts and projects in Yemen, with continuation of the exhibition hosted by the program at the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy in London for visitors from politicians and development experts and media. During the meeting, they reviewed the historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom and the existing partnership between the two friendly countries, while Al Jaber introduced the British representatives to SDRPY the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest in the development and humanitarian field. Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber and Colonel Turki Al-Maliki held a press meeting at the Kingdom's embassy in London with a number of personalities, media channels and international newspapers, highlighting the course of events in Yemen, including the work of SDRPY in the areas of development and reconstruction, indicating efforts large program, through presenting more than 100 development projects in all Yemeni governorates, benefiting all age groups, and has made a tangible impact, improving daily living and contributing significantly to the Yemeni economy. Al Jaber introduced the sectors supported by SDRPY, which include 7 vital and basic sectors, the health sector, the education sector, the electricity and energy sector, the agriculture and fisheries sector, the water sector, the road sector, ports, airports, and the government buildings sector. He pointed out that the program works in most of the Yemeni governorates such as Aden, Hadramout, Al-Jouf, Marib, Hajjah, Socotra and Al-Mahra, while the impact of the program reaches all of Yemen through the contribution of the active program in achieving economic stability for Yemen. He added that the program is keen on reaching the various directorates in the Yemeni governorates through the opening of the program to several offices through which it aims to continuously monitor the projects under implementation and report on the percentage of completion and address any technical problems that may arise during the implementation process, in addition to studying new projects according to the needs of the governorates and the people through holding continuous meetings with the governors and the people in coordination with the Yemeni government. He stressed that there is close cooperation between the program and various international organizations, and often there are meetings and workshops between the program and many of these organizations to benefit from experiences in the field of sustainable development projects, such as agricultural projects for greenhouses and a number of projects that depend on solar energy. Meanwhile, the British media and diplomatic figures praised the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SDRPY to serve the Yemenis.
