The Polish-led multinational force in Iraq has helped renovate and re-equip a law school that was heavily damaged and looted in the aftermath of the U.S.-led war as part of a larger effort to help rebuild the country's educational system, a military spokesman said Saturday. At a cost of US$258,000 (¤212,000), the work at Babylon University's law faculty in Hillah was completed this week. It was overseen by the Polish-led multinational force, but a local Iraqi firm was contracted to carry out the renovation work, spokesman Polish Maj. Krzysztof Plazuk said by phone from Iraq.
