Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently declared its positions to support the sovereignty of the countries of the region, for the good of its people through its self-determination, and to work to put out the fires of wars inflamed by Iran and its proxies, which have caused instability. The paper pointed to the telephone calls made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Iraqi President Barham Salih, and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to confirm the kingdom's stands by the side of Iraq until it get recovered due to the dangerous situation it is going through due to Iranian interference in its internal affairs. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the idea proposed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the establishment of a unified entity from the riparian states of the Red Sea, namely KSA, Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Egypt, Yemen and Jordan, came into effect through a meeting of foreign ministers of the Red Sea states in Riyadh today to discuss and activate the Kingdom's leadership role in the region to achieve those vital interests that would counter foreign interference. The paper said that the establishment of unified entity from the riparian states of the Red Sea will meet all challenges to achieve the interests of those countries' security, political and investment, and secure maritime traffic in one of the important international waterways.
