The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) achieved a certificate of the Committed to Excellence (C2E) in accordance with a report issued by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). The CITC represents the first communications and information technology's regulator in the Middle East and North Africa obtaining the C2E. The EFQM revealed that the CITC has obtained this certificate for its fulfillment of a number of strategic standards in terms of raising the efficiency of services provided to the private and public sectors to ensure achieving the excellence in the governmental performance in addition to launching specific initiatives that contributed to supporting the strategic directions of the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom in order to achieve a sustainability in the fields of improving business procedures and governance as well as to enable the institutional work to achieve the goals of digital transformation. For his part, Eng. Naif bin Abdulhakim Shisha, Director General of Strategic Planning of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, disclosed that that the commission always seeks to update the standards of governance in its internal and external operations in line with international practices.
