Under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Dr Abdulrahman Al Jafari, Governor of the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) will open here tomorrow the 8th International Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX Saudi Arabia 2009) at Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. (REC). Dr. Abdulrahman Al Oraini, an Advisor to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology pointed out that Communication and its sectors receives sustained support of the Government from the very beginning of the development in the country, where several massive expansions of communications services commenced with the introduction of updated and consistent communication conforming with development requirements and achieving quality of service and fair prices and facilitating the spread of the service. He suggested that the Kingdom is in the forefront of the growth of the computer and IT market, which is driven by the rapid increase in the growth of the Kingdom's population and the evolution of e-Services and e-trading. It is likely that the GITEX Saudi Arabia 2009 is working to increase the many opportunities available to foreign investors in this area. --MORE
