The Human Resources Development Fund "Hadaf" has stated that 54,754 Saudi women employees have benefited from Female Transportation Program (Wusool) until now, aiming to empower women working in the private sector, increase the percentage of their participation in the labor market and enhance their job stability. It is worth mentioning that the Human Resources Development Fund "Hadaf" has changed and updated its regulations for Female Transportation Program (Wusool) recently. These changes aim at finding solutions to reduce burden of transportation costs for Saudi women working in the private sector. In addition, the updates aim at improving and developing the environment for commuting by providing a safe service with high quality and safety for working women. The changes included the conditions for joining the program and the requirement to register in the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), where the total GOSI subscription period shall be less than 36 months and the monthly salary should be SAR 8000 or less. Updates also included the amount of monthly financial support provided by the fund fixed at 80% of the cost and a maximum of SAR 800 per month, the cancellation of the previously scheduled monthly financial subscription of SAR 200 riyals, and the extension of the support period up to 12 months.
