The Malaysian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dato' Abd Razak Abdul Wahab, and his wife arrived today at Mullhem in "North of Riyadh" to attend the activities of King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, watching the heats of (Al-Mellwah) 44-m competition. The ambassador and his wife toured the tents of the festival, especially Al-Mellwah race arena, discovering the details of the competitions from the competitors themselves. They got acquainted during the visit with the details of this hobby, which was popular in the Arabian Peninsula, to closely link with them. On the occasion, the Malaysian Ambassador expressed his admiration for this hobby, which he described as a method, with a long historical span, which accompanied the Arab person since ancient times. He extended his appreciation of the great efforts and wise policies being adopted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince towards the preservation of nature, wildlife, history and authenticity, through the great goal of holding King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival since its foundation, by preserving the authentic Arab heritage and culture. Ambassador Dato' Abd Razak Abdul Wahab also praised the tireless efforts, great equipment and preparations being done by Saudi Falcons Club at the level of falconry competitions, which require great experience and preparation, stressing the Club succeeded in making this festival a global event and transferring this hobby from elitism to populism.
