Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Antti Rytovuori paid today a visit to King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival in its 2nd edition taking place in Mulham, north of Riyadh. During his visit, the Finnish Ambassador, accompanied by his wife, toured the headquarters of the 400-m Al-Melwah race. Rytovuori expressed his admiration for the mechanism of monitoring the falcon's time, radars and advanced devices used to measure the distance, as well as the preparations made by the Saudi Falcons Club for the competition of the most beautiful falcon, and the seven criteria set by the Club to choose the most beautiful falcon. He also hailed the advanced level reached by the festival in its second version, to become the largest of its kind in the world. It is worth mentioning that events of Al-Melwah competition at King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival will continue until next Monday, while the most beautiful falcon's competition ends its activities tomorrow, Saturday.
