The concerned institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have affirmed their keenness on improving quality of life for people with disabilities and supporting their families within the Kingdom's Vision 2030 that upholds the rights of disabled people. The Authority for Care of Persons with Disabilities, that was launched within the framework of the national care in the Kingdom with related sectors aims at providing suitable and efficient learning, empowering disabled people, enabling them to play their roles in the society, focusing on their skills and abilities and ensuring equal employment opportunities. The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has also launched "Tawafuq" the employment of people with disabilities program that aims to support and empower job seekers with disabilities to be employed in the private sector. The executive director of Learning Disabilities Association Fairuz Abu Qasim stated the choice of "Future Can be Reached" slogan for the International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD) aims to shed lights on the new stage of educating the society about learning disabilities and referring to the obvious national efforts to support this category. It is worth mentioning that the International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD) is celebrated every year on December 3rd worldwide, aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
