The Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) exchanged between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the United Arab Emirates, covered six key areas of cooperation, in the space activities for peaceful purposes. The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Space Authority Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh explained that the areas of cooperation covered by the memorandum, include space science and technology, space projects and programs, space services and applications, space research and development, as well as space training and education, in addition to space policies and legislation. Forms of cooperation that include exchange of experts and technical researchers, exchange of information, holding of conferences and symposia, promotion of the use of products and services, promotion of educational activities, and the space science cooperation between operating institutes and industries, in the space sector, in the two countries, were also among included domains.
