President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski has received here the Saudi Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani. Dr. Yamani is here to participate in the Arab - Poland Economic Cooperation Forum. During the meeting, Dr. Yamani conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to the Polish president. On his part, the president requested that his greetings be sent to the Saudi monarch. Earlier today, Dr. Yamani participated in the Forum's opening session with the attendance of Poland's Foreign Minister and a number of senior Arab and Poland officials. Addressing the gathering, Minister Yamani thanked Poland Government for inviting him to attend the event. Dr. Yamani emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in many spheres and called for increasing the pace of Polish investments in the Kingdom and setting up joint productive projects. He also met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Labor, Jerzy Hausner. Earlier, he also met Prime Minister, Marek Belka.
