Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba promised on Friday an end to violence by communist rebels in his South Asian nation and said foreign investments in the small Himalayan kingdom were safe. "Although some unfortunate incidents have occurred in recent times, the government is fully committed to providing security and protection to foreign investors and their investments," Deuba told industrialists in the Indian capital. "We are fighting the problem of insurgency resolutely and responsibly. We will not allow terror to reign," Deuba said. He said the government was determined to resolve the problem through dialogue with the rebels.
