The Saudi-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, chaired by Abdulaziz bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, met here today with Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing. The Chairman of the Committee commended deep-rooted relations between Saudi Arabia and China at all economic, cultural and political levels. For his part, the Ambassador praised the Kingdom's leading roles in Arab and Islamic worlds. He also commended the Kingdom's hosting of the G20 Summit in 2020, stressing that the Kingdom's place in this international gathering is growing due to its pivotal role in global economy. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest between the two countries and reviewed ways of enhancing bilateral relations, especially at the parliamentary level.
