Quds City, Sept 8, SPA -- Israel's West Bank separation barrier will run closer to Israel in its southern segment, leaving several Jewish in the area on the "Palestinian" side, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon decided Wednesday, according to senior officials. Sharon made the decision in a meeting with Defense Ministry officials who were presenting a revised barrier route, in line with a Supreme Court directive earlier this year to minimize hardship to Palestinians. Two large settlement areas south and east of Al-Quds city _ Gush Etzion and Maale Adumim _ will be incorporated by the barrier, the officials said on condition of anonymity.
