Quds city, Sept 27, SPA -- An Egyptian official involved in preparations for the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip has canceled a trip to Israel following the assassination of a Hamas leader in Syria, Israeli officials said Monday. Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman had been scheduled to meet with Israeli officials and tour the Rafah area in southern Gaza on Tuesday, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Rafah is located along the Egytian border. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is planning to withdraw all soldiers and Jewish settlers from Gaza next year.
