A delegation from the Shura Council, headed by Council Member and Chairman of the Saudi-Mauritanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee Assaf bin Salem Abu Thuneen, will start tomorrow an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Chairman of the Committee said that the Shura Council delegation's visit to Mauritania comes within the framework of distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, describing them as deep-rooted and long-established and are witnessing development in various fields, including strengthening joint cooperation at the level of Parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Mauritanian National Assembly. He also said that the Shura Council's delegation will brief officials in Mauritania on efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve its ambitious vision 2030, as it is an important strategy that will achieve a qualitative leap for the Kingdom and its people in assurance on the political and economic importance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Arab and Islamic world and its active role in the international arena.
