The Ministry of Health, represented by King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah, has succeeded in performing 15 open-heart surgeries for pilgrims during Hajj season 1440AH, as part of the ministry's efforts to serve pilgrims in all medical cities and hospitals. The Ministry, on a daily basis, performs specialized cardiac operations at The Cardiac Center of King Abdullah Medial City, one of the most prominent health facilities in Makkah Region, and plays a vital role in providing specialized care. Since the beginning of Dhul-Qaida this year until the fourth of Dhu'l-Hijjah this month, the Ministry of Health, in King Abdullah Medical City alone, performed 296 cardiac catheterization operations and 15 open-heart operations.
