A seven-member World Bank delegation held a meeting here today with Pakistan's Health Minister Muhammad Nasir Khan to discuss and evolve an effective joint strategy to fight against HIV/Aids among Injecting Drug Users in the country, an official statement said. The minister told the delegation that the Pakistan government is fully alive to the situation and steps are being taken to control HIV/AIDS in Pakistan. The statement said Pakistan is implementing Enhanced HIV/AIDs Control Programme to control the spread of HIV/AIDS in collaboration with the World Bank.
