The first batch of pilgrims coming from the Kingdom of Malaysia arrived today at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International airport, in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, second holiest Islamic city, representing a contingent of pilgrims availing themselves of the opportunity of Makkah Road Initiative, a newly-introduced procedure enabling pilgrims to finalize travel procedures at home before reaching the holy places of Islam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A number of pilgrims arriving here today from Malaysia lauded the newly-introduced Makkah Road Initiative which was adopted by the Saudi Hajj, immigration and customs authorities to finalize travel procedures at home. They thanked the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for introducing this unprecedented service, citing that when they reached the Kingdom, they will have to take the buses awaiting them to their first stop of their temporary residence at the sacred places.
