The Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom Raja Ali Ejaz praised the implementation of Makkah Road Initiative during this year in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, noting that it is one of the pioneering initiatives offered by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to facilitate the travel of pilgrims from their countries until they come to the Holy Land in Saudi Arabia. In a press statement made by the Pakistani ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to SPA, he explained that Makkah road initiative is applied for the first time in Pakistan this year and is expected to benefit the Pakistani pilgrims from Islamabad International Airport. The Pakistani Ambassador said that the implementation of the Makkah Road Initiative in Pakistan came at the request of the Pakistani government during the historic visit by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to Pakistan recently, where it was decided to extend this initiative To Pakistani pilgrims this year. He added that the initiative aims to complete travel procedures of pilgrims at the airport according to an organized mechanism that facilitates traveling to the Holy Land without the need for the pilgrims to undergo other procedures in the Kingdom upon arrival. He stressed that the Pakistani government is proud to be part of this initiative aimed at facilitating the movement of pilgrims during their arrival to the Kingdom by reducing congestion and time in documenting data at airports.
