Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has started her duties as ambassador to the United States of America. "Princess Rima bint Bandar began her mission immediately to strengthen the historic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America," Fahd Nazer, the spokesman of the Kingdom's embassy in Washington, said, adding that the princess will work to develop the strategic relationship and continue to build the main areas of cooperation between the two countries. The official spokesman of the embassy also said that Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan today presented a copy of her credentials to the US State Department. Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan is the 11th Ambassador to the United States of America since 1945 and the first Saudi woman to hold this post.
