Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz has extended her thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense on the occasion of issuing the royal order appointing her as Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America. In a statement on this occasion, Princess Rima expressed her deep appreciation and pride in this royal trust, wishing all success in serving the religion, the King and the homeland, performing her duties for serving the interests of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its citizens and enhancing relations between the two friendly countries, praying to Allah Almighty to protect the leadership and maintain the Kingdom's security, stability and prosperity. Princess Rima said "I am honored to be the first woman as a Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, and I will do all my best to strengthen relations between the two countries and achieve their common goals whether in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States of America or around the world''.
