A bomb went off early Saturday in Lebanon's largest Palestinian refugee camp, heavily damaging a private telephone office for international calls but causing no injuries, Palestinian officials said. The office was owned by Tareq Akkawi, a former member of the Palestinian group "Hamas". The office, in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp on the outskirts of the southern city of Sidon, was targeted at about 5:45 a.m. (2:45 GMT).
