Sudan condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia, which killed one person and injured others. In a statement today the Sudanese Foreign Ministry said that targeting a civilian airport used by thousands of civilians every day is a war crime, a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to the safety of civilians. The statement added that targeting the stability and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia poses a serious threat to the stability of the region and to international peace and security. Sudan affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these terrorist threats and called upon the international community and organizations representing international legitimacy to take the necessary measures to address and eliminate these threats.
