The 13th conference of Al-Elbeit Islamic Foundation began its deliberations here on Saturday with the participation of about 80 Muslim scholars from 40 Arab, Muslim and foreign countries. The participants of the 3-day conference are scheduled to review working papers on the challenges that face the Muslim nation. They will also discuss papers on the political system in Islam, the concept of liberty in Islam, democracy from the Islamic point of view in addition to the successful Islamic experiences. A press statement issued here on Saturday said the organization of the conference aims at shedding light on the proper Islamic political thought and correction of wrong concepts about Islam.
