The cabinet reiterated the solidarity of the State of Kuwait with the Kingdom and its support for all measures taken to protect its security and stability. The cabinet called upon the international community to take the necessary measures in the face of these repeated criminal acts on the Kingdom's territory and its grave consequences. The cabinet strongly condemned the sabotage attack on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman last Thursday, stressing that this act of terrorism is a violation of all international conventions and laws and a direct threat to maritime traffic and world energy supplies. The cabinet called on the international community to take quick and decisive measures to protect international shipping lines, deter anyone threatening the global trading system and world economy and safeguard regional and international peace and security in this vital region of the world.
