Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Youm newspapers said in their editorials on the interview of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to Asharq Al-Awsat that the historical interview with HRH Crown Prince, which was circulated with great interest by international news agencies and satellite channels, gives an indication of the influence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a major country with an active and pivotal role in the stability of the region and reflects the political and international importance of HRH Crown Prince. The papers also said that The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm stance towards the Iranian regime is renewed by the recent statements of HRH Crown Prince, that recent attacks on commercial ships in the Gulf of Oman represent a flagrant aggression on the security of the countries of the region and the economies of the world. The papers added that the international community's resolute and decisive stance towards these attacks has become a necessity in the deteriorating situation in the countries of the region. Although the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not want a war in the region, it will not hesitate in dealing with any threat against its sovereignty and vital interests.
