Secretary General of the Arab Organization for Red Crescent and Red Cross Dr. Salih bin Hamad Al-Twaijri underscored the importance of the decisions issued by the GCC, Arab and Islamic summit, recently concluded in Makkah at an invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to curb the spread of conflicts and crises and achieve security and stability. In remarks he made today, he also underscored the importance of the diplomatic solution as a preliminary and pre-emptive option to confront the successive crises developments. He drew the attention that the three summits embody the strenuous efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to find out and remedy the humanitarian pains in a number of countries, using its humanitarian pre-emptive diplomacy to realize hopes of activating the role of GCC, Arab and Islamic organizations to build the mental picture that confirm the strength of solidarity and productive building among brothers in both the donor and recipient countries. He praised the support rendered to the Arab Organization for the Red Crescent and Red Cross by the host country, Saudi Araba, contributing to upgrading the rhythm of its work oriented towards refugees and the afflicted through its national member associations.
