The Economic, Trade, Investment, Development and Relief Committee of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council held a meeting here today during which the two sides discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the activation of agreements and memoranda of understanding which were signed on the sidelines of the visit paid by the Iraqi Prime Minister to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The minutes of the meeting was co-signed by Governor of General Investment Authority Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar and Iraqi Minister of Planning Dr. Nouri Sabah Al-Dulaimi, who are co-chairing the Economic, Trade, Investment, Development and Relief Committee. In a statement following the meeting, Eng. Al-Omar said that the two sides look forward to the development of bilateral relations in all fields, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia looks forward that Iraq will be more prosperous through enhancing cooperation between the two countries, diversifying the sources of economy, and implementing the agreements between the two countries.
