His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh today with the Speaker of the Yemeni House of Representatives Sheikh Sultan bin Saeed Al-Barkani, and the members of the parliament. At the outset of the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince shook hands with the members of the Yemeni parliament, welcoming them in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and wishing them success in serving Yemen and its brotherly people. Then, selected verses of the holy Quran were recited by Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nouh. Then, the Speaker of the Yemeni House of Representatives gave a speech in which he expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, and the Kingdom's government and people for their sincere fraternal support for their Yemeni brothers as well as of the countries participating in the Arab Coalition to support legitimacy for the efforts, generosity, hospitality and support they extended for their Yemeni brothers at all levels and in all fields. In this regard, he also referred to the cooperation the Yemeni people's deputies enjoyed to resume the work of their chamber after an interruption of four years imposed by the compelling circumstances resulting from the brutal Houthi-led gang coup, as well as the backup for reconvening in the city of Saioun, as a deliberate gesture to Hadramout province's historical value. The speaker stressed that this step represented a historic achievement for the restoration of the State and thwarting the coup plot, in which the deputies succeeded in breaking the siege imposed on its members by the coup gangs, in order to obstruct the council from resuming its constitutional duties, a move that cast its negative repercussions on the State's authorities, derailing them from playing their positive role and harming the national performance of the country. He pointed to the danger of Iran, which threatens not only Yemen but also the Gulf states and the whole region, highlighting the role of the Determination Storm and the Restoration of Hope to respond to the blood and fire offense coming from Iran. Al-Barkani called on the coalition to continue supporting Yemen politically, economically and militarily until it is liberated from the Houthi militia. The meeting was attended by Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Isa, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Khalid Al-Homaidan, Chief of General Intelligence; Fahd Al-Isa, Consultant at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the Minister of Defense's office; Prince General Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Joint Forces; and Mohammed Al Jaber, Saudi ambassador to Yemen.
