The eighth meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee between the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and a delegation of the British Government was held here today, in the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership between the GCC countries and the United Kingdom. GCC Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Owaisheq said that the meeting discussed joint activities to implement the approved plans of action and prepare for the meetings and workshops to be organized by the two sides during 2019, which includes the implementation of military cooperation between the two sides and implementation of joint strategic plan, stressing that these meetings between the two sides confirm their keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership established by the GCC and UK leaders at the first GCC-UK Summit in December 2016.
