The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen: Targeting and Destruction of two locations (a workshop for manufacturing and a store for platforms for launching and preparing UAVs) In Sana'a Used by Iran-Backed Terrorist
The Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki Al-Malki, stated that at 4:17 a.m., this morning, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition carried out a qualitative military operation in Sana'a to destroy two legitimate military targets including a workshop used by the Houthi militia for installing and booby trapping UAVs and a store for platforms for launching and preparing UAVs to carry out terrorist operations. He clarified that this targeting operation is an extension to previous military operations on (January 19th, 31st and February 9th 2019 and March 23, 2019), that were conducted by the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to target and destroy an Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia's integrated network for UAV capabilities and its logistical facilities, in addition to locations of foreign experts. Colonel Al-Malki affirmed the commitment of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to preventing use and access of the Houthi militia, and other terrorist organizations, to such qualitative capabilities, and taking all necessary measures to protect civilians and vital areas from the threat of UAV terrorist attacks in accordance with the Customary International Humanitarian Law. Colonel Al-Malki concluded by reaffirming that the targeting operation was in accordance with the Customary International Humanitarian Law, and that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition has taken all precautionary measures and necessary actions to protect civilians and avoid collateral damage among them, while the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia uses residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities as military zones for manufacturing workshops, including ballistic missiles preparation and installation workshops, UAV workshops, mine and improvised explosive device workshops, and weapons storage of all types, in an attempt to use civilians as human shields in clear and explicit violation of international humanitarian law and customary rules.
