The Speaker of Russian Senate, Valentina Matviyenko, has received here the Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa. During the meeting, they discussed the distinction of the Islamic presence in the Russian Federation which is described as an example of coexistence and harmony with the different followers of religions and nationalities under their single national umbrella. The Speaker praised the Conference organized by the Muslim World League in the Russian Federation under the title "Islam is a Message of Mercy and Peace," describing it as a historic Conference and the first of its kind among international conferences hosted by Russia.
